The Album 'Going back home' by Wilko Johnson/Roger Daltrey.

I was/am a BIG Dr Feelgood fan, so this is just music to my ears

I just got tickets to see Our Lady Peace, Bush, and Live in mid-September, so I'm going to be listening to a lot of their stuff over the next few months. So excited, it's gonna be an awesome lineup!

Time to party like it's 1995!

So. Much. This. I have been on a BIG Pearl Jam/Soundgarden/Alice in Chains bender. I was in the car Saturday, heading back from the grocer's and the gym, and I was full on 1991 blaring Badmotorfinger with the windows down. I'm singing along at the stop light, and I notice these younger guys in the car to the left of me were staring at me. I suppose I didn't look like a person they expected to be listening to that, but who doesn't love "Outshined"?

I saw Soundgarden open for Guns N Roses in 1992. It was pretty sweet.

I regret that I never saw Soundgarden live. I have seen Pearl Jam a few times, and they were fantastic, but I never saw my other Big 4 favourite, and now it is too late. Speaking of Pearl Jam, I saw them a few years ago, and they haven't changed a bit. Sure, they look older, but they still sound the same as when I first saw them with my friend and my mom because we were too young to go on our own. Good thing my mom actually liked Pearl Jam.

I've never seen Pearl Jam so I'm kind of jelly.

Likewise with Soundgarden and G n' R. Other than 2 Skinnee Js, Pearl Jam is the only band I have seen live. I saw them before the whole Ticketmaster blow-up, so early '90s. My friend and I both thought Eddie Vedder was hotter than a five-alarm fire, so we begged to see them live. My mom, for reasons I will never know, agreed to take us out of school, and out of town for the concert. My mom does apparently like Pearl Jam the best of the grunge Big 4, but it was still odd that she was down with the whole thing. I secretly think she wanted to go, and the business of us being too young was her cover story.

Hole's album Live Through This. The media focused so much on Courtney Love's personal life that I think her music took a backseat. It's a great album - raw, dark, edgy. Too bad you never hear tracks like "Miss World" on the radio anymore.
