My friend named his daughter Kaylee since he's such a Firefly nerd.
Should have named her Kaywinnet Lee, which is the character's full name!

So yes, it's messed up that the airline employees were making fun of the kid's name but seriously, WTF was mom thinking when she gave that poor girl said name?

I'm very glad that this woman has grown to love her name and succeed in spite of (or because of?) it, but no matter how you slice it, Marijuana Pepsi is a terrible name to give a kid.

I like to watch trashy reality tv shows sometimes (hey, sometimes I just want to chill and not have to use my brain). I was watching 90 Day Fiancé the other day and there was this woman who had named her daughter Drascilla. Is it supposed to be like Dracula + Priscilla?

Someone showed my a picture of her niece's new tattoo. Apparently the niece's kids' names are Shailynn and Braileigh. Just fucking stop with these names already.

Omg I see a lot of horrific names at work.

Some examples:

Ecstasy (Someone named their BABY that! wtf? Disgusting!)
Quirstin (Pronounced 'Kirsten')
Jaymz (Pronounced 'James')
Ebony (Last name was 'Ivory'..sh*t you not)
Micheeele (That's 3 'e's in the middle - just...why?)
Lucifer (...yeah...)
Enema (Pronounced 'Ah-knee-ma' - but that's not what the word means lol)
Alyeeishia (Pronounced 'Alicia')
Frank (normal name - but it was for a girl... even 'Frankie' would have been fine but some names just aren't unisex...)

That's all I can think of for now but there are so many. And a lot of names I think are weird because of the spelling - I honestly think the parents probably don't know how to spell. I speak to these people all the time and I wonder how they tie their own shoelaces let alone raise another human being...

"Jaymz" looks like something a tagger would spray on rolling stock. And more than one person in New Zealand has tried to register "Lucifer" as a name, and been turned down by the government - because someone has to have common sense.

And Frank for a girl ... lines from the song "Park Avenue Sobriety Test" ...

"It’s the girl at the bar, she’s pouring a drink
She’s taking your dough, and you think that she winks
So you ask her her name and she tells you a lie
‘Cause Frank’s not a woman’s name ..."

(Although my friends have a rottie called Frankie, and she's adorable).

"Frankie" is an established female nickname...my friend's lil gray cat is named Frankie. There's also the female lead character in the play "Frankie and Johnny". I think it's a cute nickname, but I'm not sure what it's short for. Frances, maybe?

Unintentional hilarious name: "Tearany". As in tyranny? As your kid's a tyrant? Well, at least they're honest...

I have to admit that I have zero issues with re-gendering names. Nothing except usage and tradition makes a name (or very much else) masculine or feminine.

Likewise, made-up names are fine too. Pronounceable sequences of letters that identify a person? That will do. I mean, all sorts of common, ordinary names would sound :( :? if you'd never heard them before: Penelope? Richard? Edmund? Veronica?

The only thing I object to is actually Kre8ive spellings -- no apostrophes, numbers, extra letters or random spacing please.
