My best friend is getting quite close to delivering her first, so I gave her these today - another knitted blanket and a knitted teddy. The yarn I used to make the bear is discontinued which is why it has blue ears.

I’m not thrilled with the bear this time - the muzzle doesn’t look quite right.

My first stab at making my Xmas tree baubles. Apologies for the quality of photos, but you get the gist.

Here’s another finished knitting project, baby sweater (I know!) that I made for my friend’s kid for Christmas. Luckily, it fits! Sizing stuff is hard.

I made it out of yarn that I had leftover from a sweater I knitted myself, so now the kid and I have matching sweaters. My friend thinks it’s hilarious!

I like that, I wouldn't mind one myself :D Ay least it's not those sickly baby pinks and blues, I really like that kind of
'Air Force' blue.

^^I made it out of some leftover yarn that I had laying around - I also love the colour. The baby in question has a vagina, so I guess I reversed expectations - girls can wear blue. Boys can wear pink. I had a hell of a time finding non-gendered stuff when I went to buy baby blanket yarn - choices were pink, blue, and white (which doesn’t strike me as particularly practical for a baby). I ended up buying yarn that was meant for making pet beds and using that.

And now for something completely different, here’s a non-baby-related knitting project from several years ago. See the garlands on the tree? I knitted them. I just got some fluffy, silvery yarn, and knitted a really long, skinny scarf for the tree!

I've been sewing again since masks were encouraged/required. I decided to take a break from sewing masks and try my hand at accessories. I made it a lot harder than it ought to have been and messed up. I managed to poke holes in the fabric while trying to use the seam rippers. I didn't want to start all over again, so I stitched a zig zag stitch to close them up. It's kind of ugly stitch wise on the back and inside, but it functions. I also made a simple card wallet to go with it.

^^Those are really nice - that fabric is so funky! I can’t really sew very well so I lent my machine to my friend at the beginning of the pandemic. She’s made a few masks and she’s also sewing some of the clothes for her wedding, which hopefully will take place this fall.
