Luckily for me, I don't think anyone will want an egg
donor well under five feet tall. Not to mention they're
probably toast already. I'd be quite put off by the
extraction process as well
A dwarf might not mind acquiring eggs from a small person such as yourself. ;)

Your other points here are well-taken, though.

I'll respond to everyone else's posts in a little bit.

Hard no from me. CF means a person doesn't want offspring, donor stuff included.

Plus on top of that:
-My ova are past their "sell by" date.
-The process of extracting eggs sounds pretty uncomfortable.
-There are PLENTY of kids who need safe, loving families. I cannot in good conscience condone the use of reproductive medical tech on this overcrowded world. Those who want to parent should adopt. When all the orphanages and foster homes are cleared out, that's a different ball game.

That's certainly a good point, though on the flip side, it is worth noting that if one is smart, one is much more likely to have smart children by personally reproducing than by adopting someone else's children. After all, one can only pass one's genes down in the first way. Plus, genetics appears to be much more important than environment for children's and people's development.

In other words: While adoption is certainly an extremely compassionate and humanitarian act, a smart person who adopts children shouldn't complain about his or her children underperforming afterwards. After all, these children didn't inherit this smart person's genes.

^^^ If they're really smart, they'd refrain from having kids in the first place.

No, it's not for me. CF in my opinion means CF in it's entirety, including donation of eggs/surrogacy and 'children by proxy' so to speak (step-children, adoption, fostering etc).

I'd say no straight away as I have no desire to be pregnant or have a kid, even if it's for someone else. Money wouldn't change my mind either. Plus I have depression so I don't want to pass that on.
