Personally I think there is a massive taste difference between cod and haddock. I find cod more bland and slightly unpleasant. I wouldn't even put in a fish pie. Same as monk fish, urgh. The dogs love it, though!

Thanks, LaT. I always feel like skin-on just results in batter I'm not going to eat, and the fish is mainly a conveyance for the fried batter, AFAIC, so I'm always sad when it comes out with the skin on.

I see, well if you get a choice order cod, then you should be skin free :D I don't mind either fish, but I agree, I prefer my battered fish without the skin too..

I’m currently sitting in my living room. There is a 2:1 ratio of boxes to cats here.

I'm in Austin ... spent all day at the MotoGP racing today, came home about 5pm after it finished, bought some chicken pieces and salad and some breakfast cereal on the way home, and am now happily chilling in my motel room. My friends who are here, and who i met up with today, were trying to get me to go to the college football game with them tonight, but I can't handle that many people tonight after handling that many people today :-) #introverting

Not that I'm being antisocial. I went to the custom bike show last night and shot the shit with a bunch of strangers, and had a total blast. Likewise I made some friends in the queue to get in today - I came completely unprepared for the terrible weather this morning, and they took pity on me, gave me their spare rain poncho, and gave me all the inside gossip on where to go to stay dry until the sun came out. I texted the guy to say thanks for saving me from a soaking, and he said to come and have a beer with them tomorrow if I want. Good times!

Sounds like the best of both worlds, glad you're having a good time after losing a day.

Dreamt about you last night, CarryOn. I was in your area, and you invited me to come and visit. Well, it turns out that being childfree is just a fake online persona, and you actually have five children!
