It's closing in on the start of Autumn here, so I've got mums planted in the containers on the back deck. I usually don't plant anything there for Fall, but I'm hosting an afternoon tea next month, so I want the deck spruced up a bit.

Mums are so pretty in the fall. We have one plant in the side yard. I keep meaning to buy a few more.

Too bad I am having issues with uploading photos again because I finally have my lovely planters and have planted cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, "cacho de cabra" hot chili peppers, lettuce, celery and bell peppers. I also landscaped around that area with mulch and bricks. I have to say, it is a huge improvement to the yard. I had to buy some bamboo poles and mesh to give them some shade because the sun here is so strong.

Now I bought some new shelves for my plants. One of the shelving units I had is falling apart. Another moderate earthquake and it will probably come falling down  ! They are natural wood, so I get to spend this weekend applying waterproofing stain.
