Tonight I made chicken breast topped with homemade pesto and mozzarella cheese.

To go with I made bruschetta pasta - just pasta with tomatoes, basil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. Using up the last of the tomatoes from my garden. October starts tomorrow, so the garden is winding down for the year.

Husband went shopping and bought all the ingredients needed for pizza and dropped some not-so-subtle hints that he’d like pizza for dinner, so I have a pizza in the oven now.

^^^ Very nice! I made chicken nuggets recently, using hard cider in the batter, which worked out well. Last night, we had ginger-orange chicken wings with a citrus coleslaw.

Chili, not my best effort....a bit too hot for me, I'll have to get some sour cream for it.

@Herbaceous, Mrs. LP detests black olives, so if I want them on a pizza it has to be like that one where they're only on half.

Started with pork tenderloin medallions about an inch thick, seared on one side, then flipped and topped with a mix of turbinado sugar, orange zest, and fresh sage. That went under the broiler to finish cooking, which gave the pork a nice sweet-savory crust on top. Sauce was made from pan droppings, OJ, more sage, and a bit of vinegar.

Portuguese punched potatoes as a side - whole potatoes boiled, then smashed a little to crack the skins, tossed with garlic, a bay leaf, salt and pepper, and olive oil, popped in the oven to crisp them up a little, then topped with caramelized onions and fontina cheese and back in the oven to melt that.
