The discussion about The Eagles led me to ask the question that's on every forum...what are you listening to?

I'll start: Nothing. I don't listen to music much, and right now, I'm not listening to any.

Wolf Alice and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats were the most recent artists I heard. I was listening to some good old fashioned Pearl Jam earlier. I listen to WXPK on the radio, and I stream WEQX out of Vermont. I mostly listen to the radio. It's the way I find new music.

And lest people think I hate country music without exception - I don't. In fact, one of the funniest songs, in my opinion, is The Gourds cover of Snoop Dogg's 'Gin and Juice'. They do an excellent job of giving it the bluegrass treatment.

The sound of rain on the roof of the tent I’m sitting in at the campground. I find it quite soothing.

^That sounds awesome. It is raining in Albany, where I am right now. I am in a hotel, and not a campground though. Whilst I can hear the rain, I can also hear yelling in the street, and lots of traffic.

I'm listening to the fan on my laptop ebbing and flowing, it sounds rather like waves on the shore....Like Herbaceous said it's very soothing, I'm just wondering why it's doing it.

Radiohead station on google play. Right now it's playing "Default" by Atoms of Peace, which I could have sworn was actually Radiohead, it sounds so much like them.

My custom go-to playlist on Spotify. I named it “Mostly Metal Mix” because, well, it’s mostly metal, but as time goes on and I add to it more and more, it gets more diverse. It’s an eclectic mix of stuff I like - metal, industrial, alternative, hair metal, rock, and hell, even a couple of pop/dance songs (I have no idea why I love Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” so much). I quite frequently put this list on shuffle while I’m puttering around the kitchen. Right now it’s on Bon Jovi’s “Living on a Prayer”.

I just made another loaf of sourdough bread which requires quite a bit of kneading, so I’m listening to Matthew Good’s most recent album, “Something Like a Storm”. It’s really good.

Some red-tailed hawks are flying around screeching, so I'm listening to them and the chipmunks' warning chirps. The goldfinches and house finches are carrying on at the bird feeders, so they are adding to the backyard ruckus.
