I saw a clip of Modern Family once and had no clue what I was meant to be laughing at.
You and me both!

So I watched the first 2 episodes of Inside No 9, series six, at mum's. She must be more British than all of us because she's horrified I don't have BBC at home.

There was one line I was waiting for in Ep 1 that didn't materialise....I presume they knew people were expecting it?

Lol'd so hard at "Miranda-ing, not Fleabagging".

Ep 2 - nicely done as per usual high standards.

Love how much they pack into 30 mins.

Speaking of which, I nearly forgot to mention the other potential favourite...the call centre one. The time stamp on the resolution of that one. genius!

I also have a terrible time understanding Sofia Vergara. If she ever said anything funny, it was lost on me.
I live in a part of the USA where those kind of accents are common (although maybe not so thick) so I can generally understand her.

I watched a compilation of apparently funny bits of Modern Family with Sofia V.

Some of it I just didn't get. Some of it, e.g. the dog butler, I can imagine other actors would that make that so funny, but to me it feels she misses the mark.

The clips I saw originally were with kids.

There's a particular style I just find unwatchable. Someone suggested Schitt's Creek to me as a "feelgood" show. I had to stop watching after ten minutes, I hated it that much.

I'm not sure where Sofia Vergara is from, but in NY, we have more Puerto Rican people than Puerto Rico does, so Latinx accents are far from uncommon. I often have no problem understanding anyone with a Latinx accent. I think it's her delivery that's a problem. It seems like she's exaggerating it, and failing at comedic delivery as well, and that's the problem.

Usually I'm really good at understanding (and even mimicking accents), but she's one of the few that it's just too much.

Been watching WandaVision. First episode was like "WTF?", but it picked up around episode 3, and totally made sense by the end. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has somehow managed to make a show featuring the most action of all the new Disney Marvel Studios shows the most boring as well. It's not the political themes that bother me. All the characters are a little flat, and I'm somewhat lost as to who is who.

I've just started re-watching the first series of 'The Boys', I'd forgotten just how creepy Homelander is....

^Speaking of Homelander, I am surprised the Fox News crowd hasn't decided he's the best replacement for Captain America, who, despite punching Nazis since 1941, is somehow now "woke" and "anti-American". Fox - I am not joking here- did a segment on how Cap is *now* "too political". Seems like Homelander should be their new guy, lol.

Good god is the latest season of Lucifer downright terrible (as has been mentioned here). I mean, I don't know why I keep watching it when I literally think, "I have to watch this shite?", every time we decide to watch an episode. It's not hope that it will get better, so I'm left with masochism.
