There's been a mysterious clicking developed in the kitchen, it sounds like the noise the kettle makes when it turns itself off, but it isn't the kettle which only gets used once a day.
This is happening regularly, about every 15 minutes and for the life of me I can't figure what's making the noise. Anything and everything that heats up gets turned off when not in use.

This is driving me bats, I hate not being able to track down unexplained noises and this has been going on for weeks.

Nothing ruins your Friday like finding out it's Thursday.

^^^ I know, I was thinking, "All I really have to do today is submit my timesheet, nothing else is pressing, and then it's eggs-and-bacon Saturday!"

Then I saw the day, and it was, "Well, fuck. FUUUUUUCK!!!"

LaT, I had a similar issue and it turned out to be the ice maker in the fridge.

I haven't got an ice maker and I recognise the noises the fridge/freezer makes, this noise is new. I guess the only thing it can be is one of the fridge/freezers (I have two) they're the only things that are always turned on, maybe one of them is about to die and this is its death rattle.

It's mid-May and this morning it was 4 degrees C with what I can best describe as "driving mist". It has been the coldest, wettest spring I can remember for a while.

Go home Mother Nature, you're drunk.

We've had summer for almost a week. Come the long weekend it's going to start raining Thursday and not stop until Monday, and temps in the single digit C's. Sigh. Might as well get all the garden stuff done this week, because it looks like I'll be indoors all weekend.

We're flying out tomorrow on vacation, and you know how the day you leave is always a hectic bitch...well, the damn furnace decided to act up and they're coming tomorrow.

We've got to drop the dog, do some other stuff, it's 75 minutes to the airport and it's international, so we like to get there early, and we're flying first class (not because we're loaded, but because The World's Best Travel Agent* scored first class tickets for the price of economy+), and we wanted to get there even earlier to enjoy some of the lounge amenities, and now it looks like it's going to be, at best, a mad scramble.

I'm especially expecting, "We don't have that part in stock," and we'll have to leave the house with no A/C and it looks like mid-80's are in the forecast. The house will be like a musty sauna when we get back.
